    Hello Bedouin,

I haven't undersand very well your situation firstly , did the compture recognize your dvd player or not ?
Secondly , if your computer recognize your dvd player , Did you try playing many others Dvd ? , it might be possible that the problem come from your dvd that you want to play not from the player

I'm sorry, I didn't see your reply before. 1. First, the DVD player did not recognise DVDs at all BUT I managed to get "Windows Media Centre" to work so now I can see DVDs.

    2. However, the problem seems to be that both Corel WinDVD BD and also Toshiba DVD Player with Resolution + software are not updated. (I think).
    3. Therefore I cannot see BluRay discs (with Corel WinDVD BD) and 4. I cannot watch DVD with "Upconvert" (with Toshiba DVD Player with Resolution +)
    5. So how can I update the software? 6. As I said, I purchased this laptop especially for Corel WinDVD BD (I have many BluRay discs) and also Toshiba DVD Player with Resolution +
    Thank you
