Hello, I've used the recovery media creator to create a USB flash drive recovery media.

If i then use that to restore the Windows 7 installation onto a new hard drive (as SSD) will that drive itself have the recovery media partition on it?

So if I then lose the USB stick could I restore again by holding down zero when powering on?

Or does it recover the Windows partition and nothing more?

    Thank you

First, the new hard drive itself has no recovery partition on it. The recovery partition is a copy of the system partition and locates in another place, thus, the device restored from a recovery media contains just system partition without recovery partition.

Second, if you have a recovery partition on local a disk, you can still restore by holding down zero when powering on. If not, i'm sorry to say that you can't for you have no restore source.

Third, somehow, you can say that it only recovers the system partition.
    PS: just my personal knowledge.

Recommendation: system backup and recovery freeware - AOMEI OneKey Recovery
