<strike>Seems like I'm the only one posting about my Click Mini!

I've had it under a week and I have just run into this problem. My keyboard dock is not being recognised. When I dock, it recognises the SD card, but it doesn't recognise the keyboard or the mouse input, or the battery (battery #2 not present). When I dock, it disables touch keyboard input (I'm guessing Windows does this when it detects a keyboard?) but I cannot type or use mouse input.

The tablet/keyboard were working fine up until this morning with all aspects working as intended. This is strange because

I had updated the BIOS and applied all driver updates, I have turned off, on again (with dock attached and unattached), and my most recent attempt was doing a clean install of Windows, but none of this resolves the issue.

    Any thoughts?</strike>

Now I'm confused. All of a sudden it's working again! I will leave this thread open just in case there are any updates. Feel free to pitch in your ideas on why this happened. It could have been fixed when I was trying (and failing) to access BIOS and I was turning it off and on repeatedly...

…maybe the dock (keyboard) was not inserted (connected) properly??
… this might be one of possible reasons…

This was the obvious problem and was the first thing I thought, I docked and undocked several times but that didn't solve the issue, which leads me to believe the issue was not in the connection. Also, another reason why I ruled out faulty connection is that the SD card that was inserted into the keyboard dock was recognised and I could transfer files absolutely fine.

I'm guessing it was a software issue, maybe to do with drivers?

Have you tried restarting? My keyboard fixed after restarting several times in quick succession, though I'm not sure whether that was a fluke or not.

    No luck yet...

I tried cold and hot reboot, with or without the keyboard... This is SO annoying.

I have the same problem with my device. When the accu goes to 0%,the Connection to the Keyboard and touchpad goes away.

Same problem here, after updates from windows no keyboard or usb port.
Is there a switch in the software to get it back on?

Found it. If the keyboard battery is on 0% you can only use your tablet with the on-screen keyboard.
If you put your charger back in the keyboard it will work again.

Did anyone notice that new BIOS update v1.70 was released for the Satellite Click Mini L9W-B?

I recommend you to update the BIOS to the latest state and after that to check whether the battery issue would appear again…

From my knowledge the BIOS update should be able to solve such kind of issues…

    Feedback would be appreciated.

Same problem. Keyboard and battery not recognised, but USB port is. Device Manager also recognises an undock/dock.
Hoping it resolves, as the bios 1.7 update fails if the dock isn't detected.

    I face the same problem:
dock doesn't get recognised (I had the click mini on the charger all night and the tab part is at 100 %), and I can't install bios 1.7 as it commands me to dock (which it is, but the dock doesn't get recognized).
I like the product in general and I really hope this issue can be resovled.

did you mean put the charger in the keyboard? I didn't think the keyboard could be directly charged. how did you do that?

hmm. tablet is at 100% but keyboard not charging at all. Anyone know how to force it to charge?

    ok, got it.

Let Tablet charge to 100% off dock.
Turn tablet on. Keep charger connected.
Open Device Manager (may not be necessary, but I had it open)
    place on dock.
battery meter immediately went to 50% charged and dock was recognised.
    Trackpad and keyboard working again.

ClickMiniUser, could you try and see if this works for you?

I'm currently at work, but I'll try that and see if it works when I get back home.
At least that's a method I haven't tried before, so I keep my hopes up.

Have you tried updating the BIOS to 1.7?

Tried doing a clean install of Windows?

    Cool. Hope it works!
FWIW, I just did the BIOS upgrade with the dock at 16% charged, and it worked well. Definitely updates both the tablet and the dock.
Back on now, and at 17% and rising.

thanks, yeah rolled Windows back to the original settings first. 1.7 wouldn't install while the dock wasn't visible. All coming along now.

So, I tried it that way, unfortunately without success.

Current status: Tablet is charged at 100%. I can restart the Clik
Mini with charger connected and without charger connected and on dock and out of dock and dock later when booted up.

But no matter how, the dock doesn't get recognised and the battery status tells me "battery 1: 100%, battery 2: no battery" (something like that, I'm using a German system).

Where I get at least somewhat of a battery recognition is in the following situation: system is shut down, tablet is on dock I plug in the charger and then the symbols appear for the recharging batteries: full tablet, empty and recharging dock.
I let is stay in this position all night, but no success today.

I already reset it to factory settings (no change) and slowly am at my wits end.

Might there be a way to install the bios 1.7 update without a connected (recognised) dock? That might help me.
