Does keyboard work when you start your notebook and use F12 to enter boot menu?
Have you tried to roll back OS to earlier time using system restore option? Test it please?

    USB keyboard works properly?
Hmm… this would mean that the keyboard controller still functioning.

I’m wondering if the touchpad was disabled using an touchpad ON/OFF indicator?
The touchpad’s left upper corner contains the touchpad ON/OFF indicator.

Double tape this indicator to enable / disable the touchpad. It also shows the status on the touchpad. It the touchpad is enabled the indicator should be OFF. If its disabled the indicator glows white!

Also the usage of FN + F5 disables and enables the touchpad!
