    Hi people!

    I have a Satellite M50-A-118 and I can't scroll with my touchpad.
How can I fix this problem?

Please check touchpad options and be sure that scrolling option is enabled.
    Have you already done this?

How did you check if the availability of this option?
Usually you should find this in:

Control Panel *->* Mouse *->* ELAN tab ( this requires installation of Elan touchpad driver) *->* Edge Scroll

Here you can enable (in case its disbaled) the “vertical” and “horizontal scroll” option

I did't know that scroll is with 2 fingers. Is it possible with just 1 finger?

Yes, you can move the finger on the edge of the touchpad in order to scroll up and down or left and right

Did you check the Elan touchpad settings as mentioned above?
The Elan Smart Pad settings contains three tabs: One finger tab, Multi-finger tab, Additional tab

In one finger tab you should find the options to configure the:
Taping, clicking, drag and drop, edge scroll

In Multi-finger tab you will find the option to configure the:
Zooming, scrolling ,rotation, swipe page, four finger swipe

In Additional tab you will find the options to configure the:
Palmtracking, sensitivity, smartmotion, slow motion, smart area

Hmmm… probably some laptops come with the one finger scroll on the right side of the touchpad, and others use the 2 finger scroll function.

But I would recommend you to uninstall the ELAN touchpad software and to install the latest ELAN touchpad driver which you could get from Toshiba EU driver page.

Let’s see if additional tab will appear after such update.
