    Satellite C660. I can only boot with battery disconnected and charger connected.

    Since when you have noticed this problem?
    Is battery that you use still original one that you got with your machine?

    When Windows is fully loaded and you put battery additionally is battery recognized properly?
    What happen when you disconnect AC power supply?

    Sounds like battery malfunction.

    I could read in some threads about similar issues and in such cases the users has replaced and used not fully compatible battery.
