I presume you use non-compatible memory modules.
Can you please post exact notebook model and RAM that you use?

    Hi,

please test, if the ram chips have a goot seat (best is to do that when the battery is not in the device!). Release the chips and then mount them successive in the right direction and look if it has correct seats and you listened a "click" sound when placed. If it doesn't work, you might killed the controller, when the chips made a electrical short. The other posibility is that the RAM is defective because of an electrical short or an electrical shock (static).

    I have no other ideas...

    kind regards
    Stefan

In my opinion there are two possibel reasons for that:
    1) RAM isnít fully compatible
    2) One (or two) of the RAM modules is faulty

This should be checked and I would recommend using modules which were tested by Toshiba

    1GB DDR2-800 PA3668U-1M1G
    2GB DDR2-800 PA3669U-1M2G
    4GB DDR2-800 PA3670U-1M4G

    Good luck
