The latest BIOS upgrade (Ver.6.70) for my Portege Z930 12H laptop comes with the warning:

"If you are using the Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption, please temporarily suspend (or turn off) the BitLocker Drive Encryption before updating the BIOS."

Does this same warning apply to McAfee Endpoint Encryption, which is used on my laptop and which I can *not* suspend or turn off? Or can I apply the BIOS upgrade safely?

    Thanks.

As far as I know the Bitlocker isnít related to McAfee Antivirus software and both security tools are not connected to each other. Bitlocker is a Microsoft Windows tool and McAfee is a 3rd party software preinstall on the unit.

I found an nice how to doc about the BIOS update.
