After clean installation of Windows 7 x64 Home premium (and all drivers of course) built-in mic disappeared from list.
Theare is only Conexant HD mic (not connected) In Sound applet of Control Panel.
    No hidden or unconnected devices.

I've tried: install/uninstall/reinstall HD Audio and Web camera drivers - and got same result: no built-in microphone.

WEB cam driver is 10/08/11 Webcam driver Toshiba Windows 7 - 64 Bit 2.0.0.19
Web camera in Device Manager looks like "TOSHIBA Web Camera - MP" with 3 lines of drivers:
    ksthunk.sys (Microsoft)
    pgeffect.sys (Toshiba)
    usbvideo.sys (Microsoft)

Please, help me to resolve this problem.

    Hi

Are you able to record movies and sound using the installed webcam software?
    Please check this!
Start the webcam software and record an sample video in order to check the sound.

Usually the audio in the movie should be noticeable and this would mean that the internal mic is available.

I use my internal webcam mic in connection with Skype.

    Thank you for your reply.
No audio in movie recorded (
And only Unconnected Microphone on Conexant HD in the recordibg devices list.
Guess WebCam driver is installed wrong, but I can't figure out how to recover this situation.
Unfortunately I have no access to this laptop, so its owner is using small external mic now.

Well, in control panel -> programs & features you would be able to remove/uninstall the webcam software.
I recommend also uninstalling the sound driver.

After new reboot you should clean the registry using CCleaner (freeware tool) after that reboot the notebook and install sound driver and webcam driver once again.

    Good luck
