    Hi

Did you unzip the BIOS package correctly?
Did you install the VAP for Win 7?

The VAP is needed and I noticed that BIOS update issue can appear if something is wrong with the installed VAP. Maybe you should update/reinstall the VAP.

Do you use original preinstalled OS that you got with your notebook?
Do you try to update BIOS with THIS version?

Do you have some problems with your notebook? I mean what is the reason for BIOS update?

    Hi Silas,

No i reinstalled the notebook with win 7 ultimate.
    yes i use this file

I have OCZ ssd sataIII 6G/s and now i have the sata interface with 3 G/s, I have read that with:

    1.BIOS Update to 3.0
2.My OCZ Vertex3 SSD firmware update to 2.11
    3.install Intel RST Driver

It is possible to put the sata interface to 6.0 Gb/s!!!

    Intel® QM67 Express Chipset
    http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/performance-chipsets/mobile-chipset-qm67.html
It supports the Serial ATA (SATA)* 6 Gb/s and 3 Gb/s

This is mentioned about external SATA:
SATA interface designed for use with external SATA devices. It provides a link for 3 Gb/s data speeds to eliminate bottlenecks found with current external storage solutions.

The notebook has been equipped with eSATA interface too… I’m not quite sure about the connection between the eSATA and SATA on the motherboard but possibly eSATA affecets the SATA controller and therefore it’s limited to 3Gb/s

Dear Marcius, i think that the sata interface is not associate to the esata interface, check this link for a US model similar to R830-10R:

    http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Port%C3%A9g%C3%A9-Laptops/R835-P56X-i-can-use-SATA-III-6-0-Gb-s-Now/td-p/212956

"zardli" make it possible, but i already update with the same versions and i still get the SATA II - 3.0Gbps.

There is Someone from Toshiba in the forum that could Help?
