I was on me satellite c660 today when the mouse pad and the left and right hand buttons just stopped workin....

Went on to control pannel and mouse options and it say that the software that runs the mouse pad is all fine but it's obviously not.

    Can anyone help me? :(

    Hi

First of all check if the touchpad is not disabled.
You can enable and disable the touchpad using FN + F9.

If this does not help, I would recommend update the touchpad driver.
Uninstall the touchpad driver firstly, reboot the notebook, and then install the new downloaded touchpad driver.

    Good luck

    Hi buddy,

Maybe you have only disabled the touchpad… Try FN+F9 key combination to enable the touchpad.

Can you use an external mouse?

If you need newest touchpad driver check the Toshiba driver download page:

my toshiba has annoying me problem in unexpected moments, the touchpad does not respond to my commands, for example when I turn the laptop on the left, right or up, then touchpad functions work as zoom in and zoom out. I can not move cursor as usually. Then I have to log out and login again to system to fix it. I know that many users have same problem as I. How can I solve this problem? FN+F9 does not help.

    Update the Synaptics touchpad driver.
Additionally go to control panel -> mouse -> pointing device -> settings
and here you can disable / uncheck touchpad features which are not really important for you.
