    Hi all

I just purchased a used Portege R700 and want to reinstall Windows.
I can't access the BIOS due to a supervisor password setup in Toshiba's PasswordUtility. The previous owner did not supply this password.

    How can I reset it?

    Thanks

    Hi Spets

You cannot reset BIOS password. It must be done by authorized Toshiba service provider. Sorry.

If you need addresses and phone numbers you can find it on Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Find an ASP

    Hi Spets,

Maybe this article can help you:
[How do I delete a BIOS Password if I have forgotten it?|http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=11]

As you can read there is no option to delete this password if you donít know it. Everything what you can do is contacting the previous owner and ask for the password.

Alternative get in contact with an authorized service provider and ask for help. The guys can delete the password for you.
