    Hi all.

I'm a new Toshiba laptop owner. I had a Dell Studio but the dc jack took a dump and it was going to cost more to fix it then to replace the whole system. I purchsed the satellite laptop and really like it.
I am having an issue while on the internet. As I am scrolling on the mouse pad, the viewing screen just shrinks and alot of it is inaccessible. CTRL + works to get out of it but it is getting annoying.

Is there any way to lock the screen from shrinking unless I use the CTRL - shortcut?

    Hi

You should check the View option of your internet browser.
There you should set the Zoom to 100%.

PS: pressing CTRL + mouse wheel will change the internet brower font size... this is a common shortcut....

    All,

    I need help too.

When I use the touch pad/mouse pad (Windows 7) the screen size changes sometimes. In other words, the zoom size is changing. It is happening on all screens not just with Internet Explorer. Is there a way to lock the zoom to 100%? Is there a way to disable that function of the mouse pad? I can make it happen intentionally if I hold down the mouse pad with one finger and slide my finger to the right & left to increase and decrease the zoom size.

Thanks in advance as this is driving me crazy.

This is a touchpad feature called; *pinch zoom.*
You can enable and disable this in touchpad settings.

In the taskbar you can see the touchpad icon. Click right on this icon and chose mouse properties.
Then you should go to last tab called Advanced.
There you should click on button “Advanced features settings”

More details are mentioned in user manual ;)
I read it in my case after purchase of my notebook... you should do this too

    Misterx,

Thank you for the reply. I don't think it is a pinch and zoom issue. I am familar with that on cell phone etc. The zoom changes on all screens changes for some reason. When it changes, the mouse pointer changes to a little things that points in all directions up - down - right - left. I can make it happen my holding down the mouse pas with one finger and sliding a finger to the left to make the zoom/screen smaller and to the right to make the zoom/screen larger. Any help would be great.
