    Hi

I'm trying to create Recovery Disks using Toshiba's Recovery Media Centre for my new Satellite Pro C660-111. However, I've tried three times now and it gets about a third the way through the first of two disks and comes up with the following error:

    E:\Boot\bcd missing
    (Error Code 020123-F1-00000000)

Help please! What am I doing wrong?

    Many thanks
    Franki

    Hello

What kind of blank DVDs you are using for creating Toshiba recovery disk?

Maybe the error is related to the disk… I have used Verbatim DVD-R mediums and had no problems to create the disks.

I've been using Bulkpaq DVD+R RW disks. I've never had any problems with them before. Do you think this might be the problem?

    Hi

I also think that the usage of non compatible disks (no matter if it’s CD or DVD) could cause this issue.
I had also problems creating an recovery disk.
Then I tried Verbatim and TDK –R DVD and everything went smoothly.

There are different manufactures which produce the disk and not all disks supports the same standards.
As far as I know you should find a list in the user manual… but to be honest, you should test it yourself… in most cases good brandname disks would work properly.

I've checked the users manual and the disks I'm trying to use are under the max specifications. Any other ideas please?

    Hey,

I agree with the other users. You should try other brands of disks like Verbatim or TDK and try DVD-R instead DVD+R RW.
I would never buy Rewriteable mediums because they are too slow and normal mediums are much less susceptible for scratches.

From my own experience I can say that DVD-R mediums worked properly for creating Toshiba recovery disk.
