Has anyone come across on Toshiba Satellite L350 - 14f (PSLD0E-00v01men) a screen problem where it looks like contrast has gone?

Is it a common fault as it works ok on external TFT/Screen?

I have checked gamma, even booted in safe mode and used a standard VGA driver.

    Wait a moment.
Since when you have noticed this issue? From the first day?
It is not easy to understand what happen exactly.
Can you make pic, upload it on http://imageshack.us/ and send the link?

    hi steveshar,
the function "print screen" takes the output from the grafics controller and converts it.

if your screen has false colours or a distorted picture there are more than one reason for this....
    - cable is broken (graficscard to lcd)
    - screen is broken
    - wrong settings
if the failure is related to the angle of opening the lid it maybe a broken cable
if the failure exists always the screen is faulty
if the screen has no backlight the inverter is bad

as you can take a "hard copy" of your screen the grafics is still good.

see a servicepartner and ask for help.
