Which notebook model do you have?
Please send full model name and model number.

You can find it on Toshiba sticker at the bottom.

    Hi

I have never seen such error but I would recommend reinstalling the OS again using the HDD recovery option.
Power up the notebook again, press F8, then repair my computer and then choose HDD recovery option.

Check it if this will help!

Thanks for this, however there is no HDD Recovery option, only restor last scuccessful config chich I tried.
This appears to be a Toshiba specific script but fails due to the HDDRecovry folder already existing. I've tried renaming the HDDRecovery folder but it seems to get created earlier in the script.
    Any Ideas?

    Hello amck

To be clear: Either HDD recovery works or not. You cannot rename something in hope it will works.
The whole thing is Toshiba specific procedure and designed for each notebook model separately.

If you lose this “Repair my computer” option in “Advanced boot options” (F8) you have big a problem.
Only thing you can do now is to contact nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and explain the situation in hope you will get new recovery DVD for free or you must order new one under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
