    I am trying to rebuild a Tecra M3 Model PTM30A-1DD002 for a friend. I have installed Windows XP Professional but each time I try to install a service pack it seems to hang.

    I have tried SP1 & SP3 and each time it starts off gets about a minute in and then just sits and does nothing. I left the machine on for a couple of hours and it just doesn't do anything. On SP1 it says it is "backing up files" and SP3 says "Checking Product Code".

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    As far as I know Tecra M3 is delivered with WXP SP2 Professional so for WXP installation use Microsoft WXP installations disc with already integrated SP2 or SP3.

    Do you have original Toshiba installations disc?
