*Satellite Pro A300-15T Model Serial No. 58256558W, Part No. PSAJ1E-00F00YAR*

The sound has suddenly stopped coming from the Windows Vista EMBLEM or LOGO during startup and before the login screen comes.
This problem has started in the last 5 days. Before everything was OK.

I have not done anything in Sound settings and they are default selections only.

    Hello

Have you disabled the sound with FN+ESC? Check this!
If you have a Realtek sound chip check also the settings in control panel => Realtek HD audio manager

Do you have a yellow exclamation mark in device manager?

    Dear Luke,
U have mentioned about the mute function. The sound function is not disabled.
All the other sounds are working. Only the sound from Windows Logo at the start up is not coming.

I even updated the BIOS from the toshiba site. No change.
    Regards

    Hi

Maybe you should check if the Windows Vista startup sound is not disabled.

I found nice website which shows you how to check this:
    http://www.vista4beginners.com/Disable-change-sounds

    Maybe it helps
