    Hello,

    I have a Satellite A100-003 (PSAARE) with Vista 32-bit installed and 2GB RAM (1024+1024 DDR2 533MHz).
I was wondering if it is possible to change the 1st RAM(1024MB) with this RAM: 2GB DDR2 667MHz ?
Support page says that this laptop supports up to 4GB total RAM.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi

Usually such information can be found in the user manual… it’s always mentioned in the manual preinstalled on your notebook.

I downloaded the manual from the Toshiba page and found this:
    _Memory slots:_
+PC4200 256Mb or 512MB or 1024MB memory modules can be installed in the two memory slots for a max of 2048MB system memory.+

    _Memory expansion;_
Only memory modules with the following parts number can be installed:
    256MB PA338QU-1M25
    512MB PA3412U-1M51
    1GB PA3411U-1M1G

By the way; the Vista 32bit OS will not recognize the 4GB RAM due to the 32bit OS limitation. The 32bit OS can handle max 3.2GB.

    Just one tip:

You can also check Kingston RAM modules for Toshiba notebooks under http://www.kingston.com/ukroot/
