Error messages received at start-up for these two files. "Can't execute CEC_main.exe ..please reinstall" and "TosIPCSrv.exe stopped working and was closed ..." How do I sort this out, please? Could they be related to installation of Google toolbar for Firefox?

    Hi

I found a info that the TosIPCSrv.exe seems to belong to the Toshiba S.M.A.R.T. Log Service

I think itís a HDD protection utility and maybe you should try to reinstall this.

I started getting this after installing new internet security (Kaspersky), so I unbanned CEC_main.exe in the firewall!

Thanks very much for the solution to what looked to be a serious problem. For updated KIS 2009 (e.g., v.8.0.0.506) users, click on KIS icon on toolbar, then "Applications under Control" at bottom of page. You will find that CEC_MAIN.EXE has been assigned to the "Untrusted" file at the bottom of the list. Highlight CEC_MAIN.EXE, then move it to the "Low Restricted" file above. Does anyone have the time to alert Kaspersky to the problem?
