    Hi, i have an Tecra M9. I've set an hdd password just for try. Now i want to remove or change. I have the hdd password. Pc ask me hdd psw at every boot. What's the procedure to remove or change??? Toshiba Assist can't give me any possibility to change it. Anyone can help me?? thanks and sorry for my english...

    When I set the HDD password, I was able to remove it in the BIOS.

    Have you tried removing it in the BIOS yet? Hold ESC when the laptop is powered on.

    The HDD password cannot be removed using Security Assist.

    Using SETUP BIOS, Tab to the HDD Password section which should be displayed as follows:
    HDD Password
    HDD = Built-in HDD
    HDD Password Mode = USER Only
    User Password = Registered

    Tab to the "User Password" field and simply enter the old password and then a new one twice (once to verify) as one would do normally.
    If you don't want a password, just press "enter" twice

    That's all....
