    Hi,

I have Toshiba Equium M40X-149 laptop.
It has a *Intel Celeron M 370* processor. Can I mount a *Intel Pentium M 750* processor on this mainboard?
The processor is from another laptop Toshiba Satellite M40X-250.

Can anyone help me for this issue?

    Thanks a lot.

    Ergu

HmmmÖ usually the CPU replacement an upgrade is not possible.
In most cases the BIOS settings donít match with the new CPU proprieties.
I think that both notebooks Equium M40X-149 and SatelliteM40X-250 were equipped with the same motherboard and possibly itís the new Intel Pentium M 750 CPU could be supported.

However, this is only a theory and from my own experience itís always another story to put it into practice.

I would not wonder if your notebook would not boot up after the CPU upgrade or would overheating due to a higher internal temperature.

So everything what you do is at your own risk.

    Bye
