    Hello,

I've just completed a *CLEAN* Vista install on my A105-S2091 Satellite.
    Installation was smooth and clean.

After Installing all of the recommended *DRIVERS* (I chose not to install *ANY* Toshiba utilities) ,
I was left with two unknown devices in the device manager.

    One was ACPI\TOS1901.
After searching the forums, I found a thread that indicated that installing the Toshiba Supervisor Password Utility, would fix
    this device, which it did.

I'm left with Unknown device ACPI\TOS1900. A search of the forums here havenot been helpful.
I +really+ don't want to install any Toshiba utilities that aren't absolutely necessary.

Does anyone know what drivers need to be installed to fix the Unknown Device, ACPI\TOS1900?

    Thanks!

    Rick

I think you need the driver for the Toshiba HDD-Protection…
Maybe this helps to get rid on unknown device.

    Jimi,

Thanks for your information. I went to the download page for my laptop, and that driver is not listed.
Could you post a link to the Vista Toshiba HDD-Protection driver (Satellite A105-S2091)

Thanks for your quick reply to my problem!

    Rick

I thought it could be the Toshiba HDD-Protection Utility.
But if it’s not available on the page then it could be another driver…

    How about card reader driver?

Anyway… you should try to reinstall all available drivers because all the Toshiba tools and utilities are necessary to use all the notebook features.

    Greetings
