    How to install windows xp on this laptop ?

    I tried and i can't. Say that he didn't sow the hdd.
    The hdd is sata.

    In Bios i don't have much choises. I wanted to switch from AHCI to ide .. but i don't have this.
    So I have now vista .. is the only system that worked on it .. but i didn't manage to start wireless on it.

    BTW : where is the led when the wireless is on this laptop? i didn't sow where this will be ???

    I think a bios update should work... but i don't find one. Now i have 1.60 ... and this is the only one for vista.

    So if anyone can help me pls.

    To install XP on your machine you have to load the Sata drivers during the installation.

    use google translation.

    for creating the windows cd that have sata drivers is here a good topic and also some good informations that heps a lot.

    But i didn't manage to install the wireless card ... :(

    TOSHIBA Satellite L40-14B

    I made decision to buy this product but I can`t find in which country is factory where they make him.
    Also, Toshiba can not give to me any information about him. Why ?
    Anyone ?

    Hi Marius
    The switch for the wireless can be next to the lid clip and also a second function key switch.

    Check again for the right WLan driver and the new BIOS for the XP.
    Then everything should run correctly
