My Satellite P50-B has a bad motherboard. According to the shop that diagnosed it determined due to the age of the computer, four years, it's not cost effective to repair the motherboard. A used MB of the same model is almost $500. The shop said it has a bad graphics chip which is embedded on the MB. A used replacement MB is quite expensive. It uses the MB with these specs:

  • Intel® Core™ i7-4710HQ
  • 8GB DDR3L, 1TB HDD
  • AMD Radeon™ R9 M265X
  • UltraHD 4K HDMI output

The motherboard ID is:H000071910

Can anyone tell me for sure if a different motherboard will work with this laptop for example a H000075410 motherboard from a Toshiba P55T-B with and I7-4720HQ processor. Physically it would mount to the chassis.

The hard drive works. If I can just install a different MB and get the laptop working again it would be great.
