I can't seem to read any of the SD cards I have tried in the SD slot provided on this notebook.

Everything looks OK in Device Manager, showing a TOSHIBA SD Card Controller Type-A which is fully functional.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi

Itís not easy to say why itís not possible to read the SD cards.
Did you use the right SD cards? As far as I know this unit doesnít support MMC cards.
Furthermore the SD card slot support Secure Digital flash memory cards with capacities of 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 MB. In this case you could have some problems if you use a SD card bigger than 128 MB

The card I have is 32 MB but I am not sure if it is an MMC type.

I thought MMC cards are smaller than standard SD cards, is that correct?

Thanks so far,
Joe

Thanks for that link, I now think that the card I have is an MMC type.

I have just ordered a 128 MB SD card and will see if this works.

Thanks again,
Joe
