Hi Support and other users,

I have a toshiba Satellite U940 windows 8, brand new laptop with wireless Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230, but i dont get speed above 2,4 Mb

http://www.speedtest.net/result/2844225725.png

This result is the same when downloading newsgroups.
On Ethernet is the speed is 10 Mb

I tried the same on this forum http://communities.intel.com/thread/32017
I didn't had the problem with an older laptop... It's not the router, i get better speeds with older laptop.

I tried diverend drivers, de installed driver update with Windows update, but nothing is working.

Do you hhave a solution, i guess the centrino wireless is not good...

I bought this laptop to have high speed with ssd, also need high speed connection with wifi..

Help please...

Hi

The Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 supports WiFi standards 802.11 b/g/n and it operates at 2.4 GHz only
What standard did you choose in your router settings?

Please also check the Wlan standard which is set for WLan card. You can do that in
Control panel -> device manager -> Wlan card properties -> Advanced tab

To get the full 802.11 N speed, your router and Wlan card should be set to 802.11 N only.
