Well, after two weeks of trying to discover how to get on my new Toshiba wirelessly I have actually diiscovered the how to.

I did everything I could and even followed the instructions via Config tree and also what some posters had posted on these forums, and also went to LOA Help forum all seemingly to no avail and then WALLAH, I was lucky in finding the security key so I punched that in and here I am. No yellow ethernet cord in.

Only now I don't know how to switch it off so I can occasionally use the ethernet cord. When battery runs low. I know we have to press fn-f8 keys but doesn't seem to work.

Also, I have no little orange light showing or any back light(s) lit up.

It is not as easy as my other laptop which is now my spare (battery has died) whereby you just press the button and wirless comes on (and lights orange.)

Anyway, I hope in some ways my post here helps others because I know some were having exactly the same kind of difficulty and going around in circles.

Hey,

What about other FN keys? Have you noticed if they work properly? If not the problem is related to flash cards they appear if you press FN keys. They must work to activate WLAN card. The flash cards are controlled by Value Added Package and Flash Cards Support Utility. Both tools you can download here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers

Also make sure that newest WLAN driver from WLAN portal is installed:
