View Full Version : Satellite Pro A300 Wireless issues

My 3 month old A300 Satellite Pro (Vista) disconnects every half hour or so from my wireless hub. To reconnect I have to turn off the wireless on the laptop and then turn on again so it reconnects.

My partners Dell stays connected all day so it cannot be a problem with the Wireless network.

Any one have any ideas what would cause this. It is running on mains power.

Is there some difference between yours and partners notebook?
Have both the same OS?
Do both notebooks use the same WLAN standard (a/b/g or maybe n)?
Can you test WLAN connectivity with g only?

On my Satellite L300 I had the same issue. It disconnects from time to time without any reason and some minutes later it connects by itself again. This was very annoying and so I updated the WLAN driver and the problem was solved and maybe it works for you too.
