I own a Toshiba NB100 and have been told that whenever I use the power cord, I should remove the battery, since leaving the battery whilst plugged into the socket this would damage the battery. Is this correct? Should I really remove the battery whenever the netbook is plugged in?

Leaving the battery in the laptop while AC is plugged in wont damage the battery.

However, Lithium batteries like to be discharged once in a while to keep it fresh.

So once a week or once a fortnight, run it on just battery power until it gets near empty, then plug the AC in to recharge it.

Hi buddy

I have founded an interesting article about the battery and some tips for it:
