Purchased a new NB100 that was pre installed with XP Home SP3 - 6 weeks ago. Excellent machine for it's size although a bit slow.

Recently I was using it in-flight and had to shut it down before landing and I let it go to hybernate by closing the screen. When I opened screen the next day the battery was flat but otherwise was ok but I now find the Right Click no longer works. Also on the opening log in screen the Left Click does now not work so I need to use CTRL-ALT-DEL twice to get into windows.

I've reinstalled the mouse driver but this didn't fix it.

If I plug in a Microsoft USB mouse this works fine with both Left & Right Clicks working but not from touchpad.

In desperation I've even reloaded the complete system from the "system install" software that resides on the HD.

Any ideas

Sounds like the touchpad may be faulty, or something has come loose.

You should send the system to an Authorized Service Center for repair. There is an ASP list on the Toshiba website.
