I have just done a factory restore on a Satellite L300-12L its not picking up any wireless network.
Does any one know if its missing hardware?

What do you mean with itís not picking up any wireless connection?
Can you wireless networks?

Why should it be a missing hardware? If your notebook is equipped with a WiFi card (Iím pretty sure that is so) and you donít have yellow exclamation marks in device manager thatís not a hardware problem.

Donít forget that WLAN must be enabled with the hardware switch on the notebook and FN+F8.

When you go into network set up it does not show wireless router or anything.
Yes it has a WiFi card. How do you enable WLAN what is meant by FN+F8

You can WLAN enable and disable by pressing FN+F8 and the wireless switch on the notebook.
Check this!

By the way, you said that no wireless router is show in Windows. Are you sure that you are in range of a network?

However, try to update the WLAN driver. You can find it on the Toshiba website:
