Satellite Pro 4200 and Linux

Yes. I still have the old 4200. Is this too old for any support? What about Linux? Anyone know any good distros that I could use? I tried Fedora Core Three but it's way too big and affects stability. My Ubuntu live CD doesn't even want to load, which is no big fuss as I don't quite like Ubuntu. I've got MEPIS Linux. Anyone tried it?

Is it possible to get monitor drivers? I re-installed Win98' and now the display is either really small or the resolution is poor.

My eventual aim is to have a dual boot. Grub booting Win98 as default and a linux distro as secondary for me.

Problem is that Linux is not supported by Toshiba and if you have any problems you are alone. If you want you can check this page. Maybe you can find there some useful information http://newsletter.toshiba-tro.de/main/index.html .
