Hello,

I have exact the same problem. Laptop was purchased in Canada just some weeks ago...
In addition, the operating system has not defined a device automatically and was necessary to add it manually through the Device Manager.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew Molyuk.

Hello Osama

Have you bought your notebook in Canada too?

I have also the same problem on my U300. The thing is under Vista 32, the sound works but not perfect. However with winxp sp2, and after slipstreaming with the sata drivers, i still have no sound and i get the same error10 message.
Installing the XP driver from the Toshiba support page, and from the realtek website, still I have the same error message.

I am surprised that Toshiba has not given a solution to this yet!!!!

If anyone has found a solution to this, please please please share it with us.

Many thanks

Hi guys…

The file RTKVHDA.sys belongs to the Realtek and I presume it’s a Realtek sound driver.
In your case I would recommend visiting the Realtek website and to download the newest sound driver package!!!

Here is the site:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Hope it helps
