Hi,

I've got Windows 2000 on my Tecra 8100. Since two days, my cd-rom doesn't work anymore, because Windows can't load one or more drivers.
I have done nothing special, except playing a game and using word and excel.

Anyone got a solution for the problem, because I do not know much about computers.

Extra info:
Windows 2000 SP3

Cd-rom:
TEAC-CD224E-BA

Regards,

Martijn

Hello

Sorry but it will be useful to get more info about CD/DVD drive.
Is optical disc drive listed in Windows explorer?
What is the status in device manager?

Well, to be honest.

He's not working properly, because some drivers couldn't be loaded. (code 31)

I don't know which model it is, but it is the original one (I haven't changed it at least).

The drive isn't visible in My Computer

Do this:

Access the registry and remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

then reboot and enjoy ;)
