Hi,

My screen has gone on the blink and i wish to replace it,I have looked at this link) (http://www.screentekinc.com/Toshiba_Satellite_Pro_L10--15-inch--1024x768-xga-laptop-lcd-screen.shtml)

I wish to replace the LCD with the new High Glossy type and would like some advice as to whether it is compatible with my system.

I have seen Glossy screens for sale elsewhere, all stating they are compatible, compatible yes, but would I have to upgrade my system some way, any advice would be most appreciated.

Hello James

I am really skeptic that someone can offer you here precise info about compatible screens especially about any compatible glossary screen for your notebook model. The page you have found is very good. On the Internet you can find plenty of them. Be 100% sure you buy the right one.

I am not technician but I do not see any reason for system upgrade because of new LCD screen. If the dealer offers some display as compatible one I do not see any reason why you should not believe them.

Hello Silas,

Searched the internet long and hard and found plenty of screens although most of them were coming from the USA or further afield and at such a cost, couldn't believe how much.
I found this one (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180143641770)on Ebay and had a good long chat with the dealer who was very helpful.
He guaranteed me that this model was compatible with my laptop and that they have installed many before without any complaints. They have a return policy and would give a full refund if it did not work.

Well after his assurance I went ahead and bought one and fitted it myself within 20mins,and hey, everything is working fine, even has the glossy screen and looks fantastic.

Thank you for the advice and I hope this helps any other person maybe stuck in the same jam,

Best of luck,

James.
