Does anyone know if the Toshiba Equium is affected by the problems of Sony batteries? Is it subject to recall, and if so what is the process?

Many thanks.

Hi

I have also read about the Toshiba Voluntary Battery Exchange Programs and have found this information site:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=0610_BATTERY_EXCHANGE_LANDING_PAGE

According to this page only some notebooks manufactured between March and May 2006 are affected.
I have also found a useful FAQ about this theme:
http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6901KE000HR01.htm

Hope I could bring light into this case.
Bye

Thats a great link I have been looking for a while for such a mention or link to the Sony Battery problem.
And as it happens mine is one of those effected.
After following this link and running the software check,
my replacement battery should be with me soon.
