Equium M50-164 Wireless Issue

Hi,

I have an Equium M50-164 and a Netgear wireless modem and router. When using the internet wirelessly and navigating to different web pages, my internet browser frequently tells me that the 'Server cannot be found'. The signal strength to my wireless connection is 'Excellent' and it does not physically lose the connection as it is still showing as connected in the system tray. I have also got the latest firmware for my modem/router and the latest driver for the Intel PRO Wireless card. Has anyone any ideas on what could be the problem?

I don’t know which Intel WLAN card you have but I presume it is 2200 B/G. If yes try please to install latest driver listed on Intel site.

Hello Damian

Please check the sites recommended by Joao. I just want to write a small comment to this theme. Obviously there are some problems with this Intel WLAN card and you can find a lot of topics about that.

Supposedly this is now better while the Intel has designed a new driver for this card. Interesting is that I have noticed that the problem doesn’t occur with all access points. For example with Netgear one everything is ok but with US Robotics one the connectivity is not stabile and the connectivity interrupt sometimes.
