I've bought Portege 7200 series machine and I have enormous problem with display driver. According to Toshiba books, I should use Trident CyberBlade e4-128 3D driver. I have d/loaded (Win 98 SE) from two different web sites two different versions (display-win9x-650554022icd.zip) and no joy. Can install it. Tried with Win 2000 and no joy either.

Help!

TIA

Hi,

turn your Notebook around and search for a label. There is the exact prodcuct number and name!

Please post it to the forum.

Which version of w98 do you use? Win98 or win98SE?

Is the used OS the Toshiba OEM recovery version?

HI,

tok is right! Without a exactly product name the community couldn't help you!

So please write down your Product name, PA number and Serial number. Then we could see which model it is exactly!

Hi,
nevermind you find the correct driver on the Toshiba pages.

Go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com , click on "Support & Downloads" and "download Divers". Here choose your machine type.

Hi Fakowski

Are You sure that the model You use is called only 7200?
Might it be called 7200CTe or 7220? Check under the machine.
The 7100 and 7200 has Trident video but the 7200CTe & 7220 has a video adaptor from S3.

Here You will find the 7220 S3-video driver for Win 98:

http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/portege/7220/windows-95-98se/display-s3-savage-win9x-v4.12.01.7008-mt.zip

Hope this helps.
