View Full Version : Wireless disconnect on Satellite M60-164

We have a M60-164 connected to a Netgear DG834GT wireless router. The laptop connects without problems on boot but will eventually lose its connection, requiring a restart in order to get back online. This happens whether the connection is busy or idle.

Latest firmware is on the router, latest drivers on the laptop and I've turned off the power management to run the wireless card at full power all the time but the problems persist.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I thought this issue was related to WPA-PSK but it turns out not to be the case - even with the network unsecured I cannot keep the machine connected to the router for any decent length of time.

Hello Richard

If you check wireless board you will find a lot of similar topics with the same claims. Obviously there is some problem with INTEL 2200BG WiFi card. You can try to install the latest INTEL driver for this card and check the connection again.

You will find it under http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=1637&lang=eng
